Sitting in the picnic area with the rest of the "Hayesers"
Deirdre posing with her teacher Mr. Holliday. This guy is a hoot. If they need to use the restroom he refers to it as visiting "tinkle town". In order to get their attention in class he yells loudly " O H" and the kids yell back " I O".
He did tell me last night that we have one really bright girl on our hands, and he's surprised we didn't have her tested for the GT program. (That's the gifted program for non Lakewooders out there). I told him that we chose not to have her tested because 1. The program is at a different school so logistically it would have been difficult, and 2. We feel that there is plenty of time when she hits middle school and high school to do that. We didn't want that kind of academic pressure on her at such a young age.
Ashten got put to work
