Wedding Album for Josh & Lindsey

I made a wedding album for Josh & Lindsey similar to the one I did for Andrew and Katie, hope you enjoy!

Josh & Lindsey get married!

We had a great weekend in Michigan celebrating Josh & Lindsey's wedding.

End of Soccer

Tuesday afternoon was the end of soccer for the D's. It was quite cute, they had a little cook out and "awards" for the kids.

Ohio Healys invade Chicago!

Allie is a girl after my own heart...she snapped tons of pictures on their recent trip.

Watch at your leisure!

Little Italy

Well I decided to start the summer off right and spend a Sunday afternoon doing something fun with the kids. At least with the 3 of them that wanted to go. :-)

Little Italy was having a street fair with stuff for kids so I figured that would be a fun place to spend an afternoon.

We got down to University Circle, and of course Dermot wasn't going to walk along nicely. So rather then taking just over 5 minutes to walk from where I parked up the hill to Little Italy, we walked across campus giving him time to kind of run himself out a bit, then back over to the street fair. So instead of 5 minutes, it took more like 25. :-)

Sadly, the lines for the fun stuff were way longer then the kids would have been able to stand for, so we walked through listening to a trumpet player and keyboardist and watching some guys juggling bowling pins.

As we were headed back to the car, we found a face painting table with no line, so the kids were ecstatic they got to have their faces painted.

We stopped for lemonade at Quisnos on the way to the car, and Allie rested her feet in the fountain. :-)

All in all they had a good time and it was a nice afternoon!

Allie as a bug.

Allie had a school project where she had to dress like a bug. Of course she didn't tell me about it till the night before. But with a little work, I think we did a great job, even though we had to remake the wings.

As it turned out, she was the only kid who came actually dressed like a bug, with the wings and all, so not only did she get an A on her project, she got extra credit too!

Hey Uncle Denny.....remember my 1st Birthday!

18 Years have come and gone....

for me they flew by...but for her they drug on and on........

Ok, so I changed up the words to the song a bit...but it's oh so true. 18 years ago, they were wheeling me down the hall in the hospital to the delivery room....Ashten already halfway to being born....having the doctor say...don't push...put your legs together and my insistance that wasn't going to happen because I'd crush "it's" head. Having my sister look at me with tears in her eyes while they cut the cord and my beautiful baby girl came into this world.

Sometimes it's hard to reconcile the beautiful woman she has become with the baby born that day. All I know is that before that moment, I never knew it was possible to love someone so much.

Over the past 18 years I've seen Ashten grow and change from that tiny little infant, to a gawky preteen, into a beautiful young woman. I'm not going to say that the road we've travelled was always easy.....let's face it she can be a real pain...but I digress.

Ash...I'm so proud to have you for a daughter, and I can't wait to see you continue to grow for the next 18 years.
