Deirdre on the other hand was excited when she woke up, excited walking to school, and excited as she sat at her desk waiting for class to start!

Let's hope that excitement doesn't get the best of her and she can sit still during class. :-)

Dermot

Dermot ran all the way to school this morning....then when he got there, didn't want to go into his classroom.

For a kid that never shuts up, he sure didn't want to talk to his teacher!

The D's

Trying to get them to stand still and take a nice picture on the way to school was just about impossible. As aprehensive as the older kids were, the little ones were jumping up and down excited to get to school this morning!

The big girls were against having their pictures taken, but it is tradition after all.

Allie was so nervous, but her big sister assured her she'd be OK. :-)

You can still see poor Ashten looks a bit swolen after her unexpected root canal yesterday.

Thanks to Auntie Anne's samples, we had to take a break for a "pretzel dog" and frozen treats.




They look so cute and well behaved don't they....don't letem fool ya!


Our last stop of the day....Dermot took off in the store, Allie went to find him, then we couldn't find her....oy.

Fresh Start!

Welcome to LHS! Freshman orientation was last night..and again this morning.

Apparently the powers that be decided Allie needed to spend 2 years as a Freshman because they didn't give her enough classes to be able to move onto 10th grade next year.

What's up with that? How can you give a kid a class schedule that isn't sufficient for them to be able to get promoted to the next grade? Not having a great experience with the school system so far this year, and school doesn't even officially start until next week. OY.
